Maddie McCann

Maddie has worked in the veterinary industry for three years, beginning her career as an Animal Attendant before transitioning into veterinary nursing. She holds a Certificate III in Animal Care Studies and currently works in emergency nursing at REDvets, where she has developed a passion for the fast-paced nature of emergency medicine and patient care. Maddie is excited to bring her emergency nursing experience, calm approach, and passion for patient care to the team at Westbrook Vets.

Maddie has a special interest in emergency nursing and anaesthesia and finds the most rewarding part of her role is helping patients recover and return home to their families happy and healthy. She has a particular soft spot for feline patients and enjoys making every visit as stress-free and comfortable as possible for both pets and their owners.



Outside of work, Maddie enjoys trying out new hobbies—always searching for the next one to stick. At home, she's kept entertained by her two cats: Sabrina, her beautiful black cat who can be found running up and down and around the house, and Sonic, the baby of the family, who can usually be found either curled up for cuddles with Maddie and her partner or causing mischief by annoying her big sister.
