Izzy has dreamed of working with animals since she was a child. She began her animal care career at just 17 years old as an Animal Attendant with the RSPCA before deciding to further her passion by becoming a Veterinary Nurse. After graduating with her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2022, Izzy has gained extensive experience across general practice, emergency, and shelter medicine.

With six years spent working in shelter and emergency settings, Izzy brings a wealth of knowledge and adaptability to every shift at Westbrook Vets. During her time in shelter medicine, she developed a special passion for animal rehabilitation and recovery. She finds it incredibly rewarding to support animals on their journey to healing, helping them regain both their health and trust in people along the way.

When she’s not caring for patients, Izzy can usually be found in the dance studio, refining her ballroom dancing skills. At home, life is kept entertaining by her troublesome trio—Gerry, Milo, and Verdi—who love attending training sessions and have discovered a shared enthusiasm for dog agility. Izzy also shares her home with Crinkle, a rescue cat she took on as a palliative care case before leaving shelter medicine. On a quiet afternoon, there’s nothing she enjoys more than curling up with Crinkle and a good book.
